Why we started
Sport has the power to inspire confidence, develop lifelong skills and bring communities together. Yet finding a trusted sports coach has often been more difficult than it should be.
After more than 10 years as a Physical Education teacher, alongside experience working within both professional sport and community coaching environments, I saw first-hand the challenges faced by athletes, parents and coaches.
Parents often struggled to find qualified and trustworthy coaches. Athletes found it difficult to compare coaching options that matched their goals, while many passionate coaches relied on word of mouth and social media to promote their services, spending valuable time managing enquiries, payments and bookings instead of coaching.
These experiences inspired the creation of My Sports Coach.
My vision was to build a trusted platform that makes it simple to discover, compare and book verified sports coaches, while giving coaches the tools to grow their coaching business and helping strengthen sporting communities across the UK.
Today, that vision continues to drive everything we do.
